サッカーの日本代表DFで、ドイツ1部リーグのシャルケに所属する内田篤人選手（27）が5月25日、交際中の一般女性との結婚を発表した。マネジメント事務所が同日、サイトで公表した。氏名や年齢などは明らかにしていない。
内田選手は「しっかり者の僕より（笑）さらにしっかりしていて、これからの内田を支えてくれると信じてます。今後はこれまで以上に責任感を持ち、男として、またサッカー選手として、さらに成長出来るよう頑張っていきます」とコメントした。挙式や披露宴の時期は未定という。
さらに今季、ひざのけがで4月以降は出場していたため、「現在、膝の怪我でもご心配をかけています。1日も早く100％の体に戻して、2015/16シーズンこそは満足出来るようなシーズンにしたいと思います！」と記している。
内田選手は甘いマスクで女性からの人気は絶大。スポニチは「これまではドイツと日本の遠距離恋愛だったが、来季からはドイツで生活を共にする予定だ」と報じている。またサンスポは結婚相手について「関係者によると、右膝などけがが多い内田をこれまで、献身的に支えてきたという」と伝えている。
内田選手は静岡県出身。清水東高から2006年に鹿島に入団し、10年からドイツでプレーしている。10年の南アフリカ、14年のブラジルと、2大会連続でワールドカップ（W杯）の日本代表に選ばれた。
