スキー事故で頭部を強打して重傷を負った自動車F1シリーズの元王者、ミヒャエル・シューマッハー氏（47、ドイツ）ついて、同氏が所属していたフェラーリのモンテゼモロ前会長は2月4日、容体は「良いものではない」と述べた。詳細は明らかにしていない。ロイターなどが伝えた。
シューマッハー氏は２０１３年１２月のスキー事故で頭部を負傷して一時意識不明の重体となり、現在もスイスの自宅で療養を続けている。
モンテゼモロ氏は「知らせを受けたが、残念なことに良いものではなかった」と発言。「人生とは奇妙なものだ。彼は素晴らしいドライバーで、フェラーリで起こした事故は１９９９年の１回だけだった」と語った。

シューマッハ家と親しいFIA（国際自動車連盟）会長のジャン・トッド氏は2015年10月、シューマッハ氏が「まだ闘っている」と述べていた。
シューマッハー氏はF1歴代最多となる7度の年間総合優勝を果たした。スキー事故後は公の場に姿を見せていない。
