ミシェル・オバマ大統領夫人は10月10日、コネチカット州の軍港でアメリカ海軍の新しい潜水艦の進水式に臨んだ。潜水艦のスポンサーとなったミシェル夫人は、進水式で伝統にのっとり、シャンパンボトルを船体に叩きつけて割ろうとした。
