12月8日に放送された朝のニュース番組「モーニングジョー」での一コマ。番組では、イリノイ州のある集会で発生したガス漏れ事故について報じていた。ブルゼジンスキーが原稿を読み上げようとすると、知らない言葉に出くわした。「ファ、ファーリー？」「わたし、読み間違えてないかしら？」
ブルゼジンスキーと共に番組で司会を務めているジョー・スカボローも、「ファーリーって何？」と繰り返した。
「ファーリー」とは、擬人化された動物のキャラクターが好きなファンのことを指す。熱心なアニメファンがコスプレをするように、ファーリーたちもお気に入りの動物キャラの着ぐるみを着て、交流する。このときガス漏れ事故が起きた集会の映像では、着ぐるみを着た大勢のファーリーたちが、建物から避難する姿がとらえられていた。
困惑する同僚たちの様子を見て、キャスターのウィリー・ガイストがなんとか場を取り繕おうする。しかし、ようやくファーリーが何か理解したブルゼジンスキーとスカボローが、ついに声を立てて笑い出した（動画の0:20）。ブルゼジンスキーは手で口を押さえて、必死に笑いを止めようとしたが、最後はスタジオから走って逃げてしまった（0:58）。
