東京の靖国神社で13日、「みたままつり」が始まった。2015年は、若者のマナーの悪さや人出が増えすぎていることなどから、露店の出店が初めて中止となった。

東京・九段北の靖国神社で7月13日、戦没者を慰霊する夏祭りとして親しまれてきた「みたままつり」が始まった。2015年は、若者のマナーの悪さや人出が増えすぎていることなどから、露店の出店が初めて中止となった。毎日新聞は次のように報じている。

みたままつりは終戦から2年後の1947年に始まったが、出店の中止は初めて。期間中は約30万人の参拝客でにぎわう一方、最近は若者らが遅くまで酒を飲んで騒いだり、男女が出会いを求めて集う「ナンパ祭り」とインターネット上に書かれたりし、神社などが対応に苦慮していた。

靖国神社によると、まつりの期間中、例年は参道に約200の露店が並び、午後10時ごろまで軽食などを販売していた。約10年前から多数の若者らが集まり、「(露店が閉まった後も)近隣で遅くまで飲み食いしている」「騒がしい」との苦情が住民から神社に寄せられ、周辺の道路にはごみがあふれるようになったという。

神社が露店の出店中止を公表したのは6月。警視庁麴町署によると、2014年はけんかや提灯を壊すなどの器物損壊などのトラブルが11件あったという。

露店出店が見合わせとなったことについて、Twitterには次のような声が寄せられている。
