ボルネオ島の地震、死者11人に 日本人の消息は不明のまま

ボルネオ島のキナバル山で、新たに9人の遺体が見つかった。地元紙によると、死者はあわせて11人。身元は判明していない。

6月5日にマグニチュード6.0の地震が発生したマレーシア東部ボルネオ島のキナバル山(4095メートル)の山中で、新たに9人の遺体が見つかった。地元紙ニュー・ストレーツ・タイムズによると、死者はあわせて11人。依然として8人が消息不明だという。

この日の地元の記者会見では、日本人1人を含む17人が消息不明の状態だとされていた。

47NEWSによると、日本人は登山客名簿に29歳の男性と記入しており、名前欄には「OKAZI」と書き込んでいたという。

死者は身元の確認ができていない状態で、消息不明の8人と死者11人のなかに日本人もいるとみて、安否確認を急いでいる。

キナバル山を含むキナバル自然公園は2000年に世界自然遺産に登録されている。1泊2日で山頂から日の出を見るツアーもあり、日本人の登山客にも人気だった
