ムハンマドの風刺画展で銃撃事件 アメリカのダラス近郊

米テキサス州ダラス近郊で3日、イスラム教の預言者ムハンマドの風刺画展示会の会場近くで銃撃事件があり、警備員1人が負傷した。容疑者の男2人は警官に射殺された。

[ガーランド(米テキサス州) 3日 ロイター] - 米テキサス州ダラス近郊で3日、イスラム教の預言者ムハンマドの風刺画展示会の会場近くで銃撃事件があり、警備員1人が負傷した。容疑者の男2人は警官に射殺された。容疑者の身元は判明しておらず、展示会に批判的な組織に関係しているのかどうかについても分かっていない。

警察当局の発表によると、午後7時ごろ、展示会の会場の駐車場に男2人が車を乗り入れ、警備員らに向って突然、発砲し始めたという。

展示会の主催団体は、展示会の目的として、表現の自由を促進するため、としている。今年1月には、ムハンマドを題材とする風刺画を掲載した仏週刊紙シャルリエブドの本社が襲撃される事件が起きている。
