ネパールの恐ろしい地滑り、動画で捉えた

ネパール北東部で5月12日に発生したマグニチュード7.3の大きな余震で発生した大規模な地滑りが、戦慄すべき動画に捉えられた。

この余震で、ネパール北東部にある町、ダンチェの近くで地滑りが発生した。カナダ赤十字社のジェイムズ・ショー氏が地滑りの瞬間をカメラに捉えた。

「余震が起きた時、山の頂上から大きな石が落下し始め、小さな家が次々と破壊されていきました」と、ショー氏はカナダのナショナル・ポスト紙に語った。

この余震は、4月25日に発生し、8000人以上の死者を出した地震のわずか2週間後に起きた。今回の余震でも数十人の死亡が確認されており、地元当局者は死亡者数が今後増加するとみている。

ダンチェは、ネパールと中国国境に近いランタン渓谷の近くにある。この町は、4月の地震でもネパール国内で最も被害の大きかった地域のひとつだった。
