サッカーブラジル代表のネイマール選手（22）が、8月18日にフジテレビ系で放送される「SMAP×SMAP」の名物コーナー「ビストロSMAP」に出演する。7月31日から1泊2日の弾丸日程で来日した時に撮影されたもの。スポニチなどが報じた。
オーダーは「せっかく日本にいるので、おいしい日本食をごちそうになりたいです」と日本食。来日後「何も食べずに来ました」とあり、１泊２日の貴重な１食となる料理への期待が高まった。木村拓哉（４１）＆香取慎吾（３７）チームと稲垣吾郎（４０）＆草なぎ剛（４０）チームが腕をふるった。（中略）
ネイマールがキッチンに立つと、中居は「そんなに大きくないんですね。胸板も特に厚いという感じでもないのに。なんで、ぶつかられても倒れないの？」と不思議で仕方がない様子。

なお、番組ではSMAPメンバーらがネイマール選手に日本語を教える一幕も。
いよいよ料理が出されると、親指を立てて「おいしい！」を連発し、中居が「さらにおいしい時は『スゲーおいしい！』と言います」と教えると、早速「スゲーおいしい！」と平らげていく。その姿に、木村拓哉は「ネイマールの笑顔見ると照れる！」、香取慎吾も「ネイマールの笑顔に癒やされる」と感動しきりだった。
