黒人男性射殺に抗議デモ NYで中高生含む12人以上が逮捕

ニューヨークで14日、白人警察官による黒人男性射殺に抗議した250人規模のデモがあり、参加者のうち少なくとも12人が逮捕された。

[ニューヨーク 14日 ロイター] - ニューヨークで14日、白人警察官による黒人男性射殺に抗議した250人規模のデモがあり、参加者のうち少なくとも12人が逮捕された。

「警察による殺人を止めさせろ」などと書かれたプラカードを持った参加者らは、抗議活動が全米に広がることを訴えつつ、警官隊と対峙しながらブルックリン橋を行進した。警官隊との小競り合いのあと、逮捕された参加者のなかには、ティーンエージャーもいたとみられている。

デモのきっかけとなったのは、サウスカロライナ州で4月4日に起きた事件。丸腰の黒人男性が、白人の警官によって後ろから射殺された。その様子はビデオに収められ、射殺した警察官は殺人容疑で逮捕されている。
