アメリカ・フロリダ州オーランドのナイトクラブで50人が死亡した銃の乱射事件で、過激派組織「イスラム国」（IS）が6月13日、組織が運営する通信社「Amaq」を通じて犯行声明を出した。ロイター通信によると、声明には次のように書かれていたという。
100人以上の死傷者を出したアメリカ・フロリダ州オランドの同性愛者が集うナイトクラブへの武装襲撃は、ISの兵士によるものだ
ワシントン・ポストの記者も同様の内容をツイートした。
Amaqの声明は「Telegram」というメッセージツールを使って配信された。
CNNによると、この事件で銃を乱射したオマル・マティーン容疑者（29）は、犯行時に警察に電話。ISへの忠誠を誓っていたという。
