削除された記事には大迫選手だけでなく、ドイツの他のクラブに所属する選手についても記述されており、清武弘嗣、長谷部誠（ニュルンベルク）、岡崎慎司（マインツ）、細貝萌（ヘルタ）、酒井高徳（シュツットガルト）、酒井宏樹（ハノーバー）、内田篤人（シャルケ）の名前があった。
予備登録メンバー30人の中から、大会直前に登録メンバー23人に絞られる。
