「最悪の気分だろう」リスが身体を動かし始める前に、このヒーローはリスに語りかけた。「さっきまで君は死んでたんだよ」
グルーバー氏によれば、この件以来、「リスと話す男」と言うニックネームを得たそうだ。しかし、彼の動物愛は、特定の種に限ったことではないと彼は断言している。
「何にでも [心臓蘇生を] やってあげるよ。ネズミ、犬、猫、何でもね」と、グルーバー氏はCNNに語った。
