10月の週末にカリフォルニア州サンディエゴで結婚式を挙げたブライアン・トビーさんとステファニー・トビーさん。幸せなカップルの結婚式に、なんとゴルフ中のバラク・オバマ大統領が飛び入り参加した。

2人が18番ホールの隣にあるホテル「ザ・ロッジ・アット・トーリー・パインズ」で結婚式を挙げる時間は、ちょうどオバマ大統領が1ラウンドを終えたタイミングに重なった。

ホテルでオバマ大統領の様子を伺っていた新郎と新婦は、ゴルフを終えてホールで見物客と握手を交わす大統領の元に駆け寄った。

結婚23周年を迎えたばかりのオバマ大統領は、新郎のブライアンさんに「花嫁のドレスは踏まないように」というアドバイスをした、とステファニーさんがテレビ局NBCサンディエゴに話している。
