『ラグビーワールドカップ』で日本代表が活躍したことで、ラグビーの人気が急上昇しました。

1年に4回(3・6・9・12月)、レピュコムジャパンが定期的に行っている、日本のスポーツファンやマーケットのトレンドを調査する『SPONSORLINK』(スポンサーリンク)では、他のメジャースポーツの興味度が横ばいのなか、ラグビーの興味度は2015年の9月から12月にかけて、10%も増えました。

詳しく見ていくと男女比では女性が15%も増加、年齢層では30代に増加傾向が見られました。

また、ワールドカップだけでなく、『トップリーグ』『全国高校ラグビー大会(花園)』などの日本でのリーグや大会でも、認知や興味が上昇しています。

加えて、6月までは低かった2019年にワールドカップが日本で開催されることや、今週末に開幕するスーパーラグビーに日本が参戦することなど、ラグビーに関するニュースの認知率が大幅にアップしました。それに伴い、ワールドカップ日本大会やスーパーラグビーをスタジアムやTVで見たいという人が増加しています。
