WADA、リオ五輪へのロシア全選手エントリー禁止を勧告 水道管工事を装った国家ぐるみのドーピング手口とは

世界反ドーピング機関(WADA)の調査チームは7月18日、ロシアが国家主導の組織的なドーピングを行っていたことを明らかにする報告書を発表した。BBCなどが報じた。

ロイターによると、WADAは国際オリンピック員会(IOC)と国際パラリンピック委員会(IPC)に、8月のリオオリンピックにはロシアオリンピック委員会が登録した選手全員のエントリー禁止を検討すべきだと勧告した。

WADAはまた、リオオリンピックを含む国際大会からロシア政府関係者を排除すべきとしている。

WADAによると、ロシアは2012年のロンドンオリンピックと2014年のソチオリンピックを含む2011年後半から2015年8月までの4年間、五輪競技の大半で国家主導のドーピングが計画、実行されたという。この国家的ドーピングはロシアスポーツ省が選手たちから提供された尿サンプルの操作を指揮、統括し、監督していたとみられる。

大会前に、選手はドーピングする前に薬物反応のないクリーンな尿サンプルをロシア当局に提出し、当局はそのサンプルを冷凍保存した。また、ロシア連邦保安庁(FSB)が本来は開封できない尿サンプルの容器を開けて検体をすり替える方法を開発し、大会時、ドーピング機関が尿サンプルを保存している研究所に、水道管工事を装ったFSBの諜報員がすり替えていたという。

ブルームバーグによると、ロシアのプーチン大統領は声明で「スポーツが地政学的な圧力の道具に利用されている」と、欧米がスポーツでロシアにプレッシャーをかけていると非難した。

プーチン大統領は「スポーツへの干渉という、危険な政治的報復を目の当たりにしている」と述べ、「干渉の形は違えど、目的は同じだ。スポーツを地政学的圧力の道具に利用している」と、1979年の旧ソ連によるアフガニスタン侵攻を受けて西欧諸国が1980年のモスクワオリンピックをボイコットしたことや、その報復として1984年のロサンゼルスオリンピックで旧ソ連を含む東欧諸国がボイコットしたことに言及した。
