トルコでロシア大使が射殺される 「アレッポを忘れるな」と犯人叫ぶ

トルコ駐在のロシア大使アンドレイ・カルロフ氏(62)が12月19日夜(現地時間)、トルコの首都アンカラで開かれた写真展で何者かに銃撃され、死亡した。

トルコ駐在のロシア大使アンドレイ・カルロフ氏(62)が12月19日夜(現地時間)、トルコの首都アンカラで開かれた写真展で何者かに銃撃され、死亡した。トルコ国営アナトリア通信が伝えた。

事件直後の現場を捉えた写真には、床に仰向けになってカルロフ氏と思われる人物と、銃を持った犯人らしき人物が写っている。

カタールの衛星テレビ局・アルジャジーラは、事件発生時の様子を捉えた映像をYouTube上で公開した。


アナトリア通信によると、カルロフ氏は写真展の開幕式でのスピーチ中に銃で撃たれた。容疑者の男は、トルコ当局の治安部隊によって射殺された。

現地テレビ局NTVによると、カルロフ氏以外に少なくとも3人が負傷し、病院に搬送されたという。

ロシア大使館の公式サイトによると、カルロフ氏は1976年に外交官としてのキャリアをスタート。以後、30年以上にわたって北朝鮮のソ連(ロシア)大使館に勤務。2007年からはトルコの首都アンカラのロシア大使館に勤務。2013年7月、大使になった。結婚しており、息子がいるという。

■事件の背景は「シリア内戦」か

犯人の身元は不明だが、ドバイの衛星テレビ局アル=アラビア(英語版)は非番の警察官だったと伝えている。犯行現場となった展覧会会場には、警察の身分証を提示して入ったという。

インディペンデントによると、犯人の男は犯行時「アッラーは偉大なり」「我々はアレッポで死ぬ、お前たちはここで死ぬ」「シリアとアレッポを忘れるな」などと叫んだという。

アレッポはシリア北部の都市で、2011年から続くシリア内戦における最大の激戦地とされていたが、ロシア軍の空爆支援を受けたシリア政府軍が包囲。アサド大統領は12月15日、政府軍がアレッポを制圧したと宣言したばかりだった。一方でアレッポをめぐっては、政府軍や親アサド派の民兵が数十人規模で市民を殺害したという報道もある。アレッポを失った反体制派は、北西部イドリブ県などに撤退しつつある

ロシアとトルコの関係は、2015年11月に「トルコ領空を侵犯した」としてトルコ軍がロシア軍機を撃墜したことから悪化。シリア内戦でもロシアがアサド大統領のシリア政府軍を支援する一方、トルコは反体制派を支援。トルコ軍は8月からシリア北部で、反体制派とともにIS(イスラム国)掃討作戦を展開している。
