東京都で4月に開園予定だったある認可保育園が、園児の入園募集を始めていたにもかかわらず開園を延期したことがネット上で話題になっている。子供の声による騒音などを心配した住民から、反対運動が起きたのが原因だという。朝日新聞デジタルが3月30日に報じた記事によると、複数の住民が園を認可する都に対して不服の申入書を提出。反対署名も約220人分集まったという。
開園を延期したのは、目黒区の「とりつだいさくらさくほいくえん」。定員は62人の予定だった。保育園運営会社ブロッサム（東京都中央区）の担当者はハフポスト日本版の電話取材に対し、2014年9月から約1.5カ月にわたって目黒区の審査経て、10月末に開園が認められることになったと話した。区は11月の区報で園児の募集を開始したが、12月12日に、同園は延期を発表した。
同園は2014年11月と2015年2〜3月にわたり、計7回の説明会を開催。参加者からは「子供の声に対する対策はあるのか」というような内容だけでなく、「子供を送り迎えするときに、自転車を道路に止めて、道を塞いだりはしないのか」、「子供を預ける親が、園の前でおしゃべりをしたりしないのか」など、親のマナーに関する質問が出たという。
園側は窓を2重にすることや、防音フェンスを設置することなどの対応を提案。また、自転車の駐輪場も園の中に設けることや、保育園は幼稚園と異なり、保護者は子供を預けたらすぐに働きに出る人が多いこと、送迎の時間も人によってバラバラであることなどを説明したというが、今後の開園時期は未定のままだ。
同園が開園を予定していた位置は、東急線都立大学駅から徒歩約10分の位置にある。「周囲に保育園がない、ちょうど三角地帯の真ん中に開設を計画していた。ニーズはあると感じている」と担当者は話した。

園児募集は自治体側が行っているため、園側は何人の募集があったかは正確に把握できないというが、園に寄せられた保護者からの問い合わせは「10件や20件では収まらない数だった」という。担当者は「保育園の設立に対して、基地のようなトンデモナイものがやってくるというイメージで受け取られている感じもあった。もちろん、何でも受け入れてほしいということを言っているわけではない。できるかぎりの対応を行い、歩み寄れたら」と話した。
