上海株式市場は大荒れの展開となった。世界は3週間で3割も下落する前に何ヶ月にもわたって株価が急上昇するのを見てきた。AP通信によると、2014年、株価が劇的に上昇した時に数多くの「新米投資家」が市場に参入してきた。

では、今や株価の急落で売買を停止され、メルトダウン状態となってしまった普通の中国人はローラーコースターのような市場についてどう思っているのか?

それを知るために、私たちは四川省成都市の南西部にいる人たちにインタビューしてみた。成都はスパイシーフードと美しい女性がいる街としてよく知られるが、熱狂的な金融の投機が行われる震源地というわけではない。ここでは、成都の人たちが、混乱を極めた上海株式市場について語った。

影響は大してないわね。株を買ってないし、娘もそんなに多く買ってないから。

中国株は一度もやったことがない。だって、投資している人たちのやり方がちょっとね。普通の中国人が株でギャンブルをやっているだけだよ。投資するときに、その会社の本当の価値なんか見ちゃいない。投資家たちがつぎ込んでいるうちはいいけど、彼らが逃げたら悪くなっちゃうしね。

株式市場のニュースは注意して見ていますか?

ああ、ちょっとは見ているよ。

株式市場は回復しますかね?

今のこの状況は実際の価値とは関係ない。投資家たちは資本市場について話をするけど、私は10年間見続てきたし、今は本当の価値だとは思わない。

株式市場の混乱はあなたの生活に影響を及ぼしますか?

影響はないね。私はもう定年だし。毎年年金がちょっとずつ上がっていけばそれだけでいい。年金は株式市場と関連はないし。今年球場は上がったけど、それは経済が成長したからで、株式市場が成長したからじゃないんだ。株式市場を成長させるのは投資家たちの戦略だけだ。株式市場は実体経済とかけ離れているよね。
