歌舞伎俳優の中村獅童さんが18日、初期の肺腺がんであることを直筆の書面で発表した。獅童さんのコメント全文を紹介する。

歌舞伎俳優の中村獅童さん(44)が5月18日、初期の肺腺がんであることを直筆の書面で発表した。獅童さんは「今見つかったのが奇跡的と言われる程の早期発見」と記した。

獅童さんのコメント全文(原文ママ)は以下の通り。

この度は私事によりいつも応援してくださる皆様に多大なる御心配をお掛け致しますこと心よりお詫び申し上げます。

毎年、定期的に受けている人間ドックの中で初期の肺腺癌であることが分かりました。

今見つかったのが奇跡的と言われる程の早期発見で、この状況ですぐに手術をすれば完治するとの担当医師からのお言葉でした。

入院までは、お受けした仕事を精一杯つとめますが、やむを得ず六月博多座大歌舞伎及び歌舞伎座七月大歌舞伎を休演することを断腸の思いで決断いたしました。

本当に申し訳ございません。

病に打ち克ち、必ず元気になって今まで以上に良い舞台がつとめられますよう、より一層精進いたし、また皆様にお目にかかりたいと思っております。

そのために、今しばらくお時間をください。

どうか宜しくお願い申し上げます。
