パキスタン南部のシンド州で1月30日、イスラム教シーア派のモスク(イスラム教礼拝所)で爆発があり、少なくとも56人が死亡、60人がけがをした。AP通信が報じた。

BBCによると、爆発が起きたのはシンド州のシカルプールにあるモスク。過激派組織「パキスタン・タリバン運動」(TTP)の一派で、2014年にイスラム国(IS)への支持を表明したスンニ派武装グループ「ジュンダラ」が犯行声明を発表した。

地元メディアによると、今回の爆発は自爆テロの可能性があり、警察が捜査を進めている。

ロイターによると、シカルプール警察のサキフ・イスマイル・メモン署長は、「爆発の原因について調査している。警察の爆弾処理班が現場検証を行っている」と述べた。

AP通信によると、パキスタンのナワズ・シャリフ首相は今回の事件を自爆テロと断定し、強く非難した。しかし、シカラプールのハディ・バクシュ・ザルダリ警視副総監や他の警察関係者は、原因を調査中と述べている。

ジュンダラのスポークスマンはAP通信の電話取材に対して犯行を認めたが、どのように関与したかの詳細については言及を避けた。ジュンダラは2013年にペシャワールにある英国教会で85人が死亡した連続自爆テロ事件にも関与している。
