映画『クルーレス』などに出演した女優アリシア・シルヴァーストーン(40)が、動物愛護団体「動物の倫理的扱いを求める人々の会」(PETA)のウール(羊毛)反対キャンペーンの広告でヌードを披露した。

冬が近づいているが、『クルーレス』のスターは、人々にウール素材の服を着てもらいたくないとアピールする。

そして彼女は何一つ身に付けないことによって、自分の主張を伝えている。

シルヴァーストーンの上品なヌード画像が、ニューヨークシティの屋外広告として登場した。

広告には、「ウールを着るくらいなら、裸でいるほうがまし。非動物性(ビーガン)素材の洋服を着ましょう」というコピーが書かれている。

シルヴァーストーンは PETA制作の動画で、羊毛を刈り取る工程は、思うほど決して穏やかなものではないと語っている。

「羊たちは皮膚を傷つけられ、危害を加えられ、ひどい怪我を負っているのです」と、シルヴァーストーンは語った。「そして羊たちが怪我しても、傷の手当なんてされません」

エンタメニュースサイト「E!」によると、シルヴァーストーンは、タラジ・P・ヘンソン、クロエ・カーダシアン、オリヴィア・マンといった多くのセレブたちと同じように、動物愛護を支持してヌードになった。
