【諏訪マタニティークリニック】義父の精子で体外受精、118人誕生 不妊治療、79組が出産

不妊治療を行っている長野県の「諏訪マタニティークリニック」(根津八紘院長)は、1996年から2013年に、夫婦79組が、夫の実父(妻の義父)から精子提供を受けて体外受精によって計118人の赤ちゃんが誕生したとする結果をまとめた。

不妊治療を行っている長野県の「諏訪マタニティークリニック」(根津八紘院長)は、1996年から2013年に、夫婦79組が、夫の実父(妻の義父)から精子提供を受けて体外受精によって計118人の赤ちゃんが誕生したとする結果をまとめた。

東京都内で開かれる日本受精着床学会で根津院長が7月31日に発表する。MSN産経ニュースなどが報じた。

第三者からの提供精子による非配偶者間人工授精(AID)は匿名が前提。近親者から精子の提供を受ける不妊治療には「家族関係が複雑になる」などの指摘があり、議論を呼びそうだ。

根津院長によると、夫の無精子症などを理由に計146組の夫婦が近親者から精子提供を受けた。内訳は夫の実父が110組、夫の兄弟が28組、その他8組。夫の実父やその妻の理解を得られやすいこともあり、最近は夫の実父からの提供を望む人が多いという。

夫の実父から提供を受けた110組のうち86%に当たる95組が妊娠、79組が出産に至った。同様の方法で2回目の出産をしたケースが17組、3~4回目の出産に至ったケースもあったという。
