「イラク戦争を思い出す」 プーチン大統領、アメリカのシリア攻撃を改めて批判

ロシアのプーチン大統領は4月11日、アメリカのシリア攻撃について、イラクが大量破壊兵器を所有する証拠が見つからないままアメリカがイラクとの戦争(2003年)に踏み切った当時の状況と似ているなどと批判した。

アメリカによるシリア攻撃について、ロシアのプーチン大統領は4月11日、アメリカがイラク戦争(2003年)を始める際、イラクで大量破壊兵器が見つかった証拠があるとしながらも結局は存在しなかったことに言及、「アメリカなどの有志連合はイラクを破壊し、テロの脅威を増大させ、ISの台頭を招いた」と非難した。インタファクス通信が伝えた。

プーチン氏はこの日、モスクワでイタリアの大統領と会談。その後開かれた共同会見でシリア問題について触れた。プーチン氏は「2003年の出来事を強く思い出す。アメリカの代表者が国連の安全保障理事会で、イラクで化学兵器が見つかった証拠なるものを提示したときのことだ」と話した。その上で、プーチン氏は「この種の出来事は徹底的に調査されるべきで、国連のしかるべき関係機関に訴えるつもりだ。国際社会にも真相究明を呼びかける」と話した。

一方で、プーチン氏は新たなテロ攻撃に関する情報があると指摘。「地名は言えないが、シリアの別の地域でも同じような挑発的な行動があるとの複数の情報を得ている。その中には、首都ダマスカス郊外で爆発物を仕掛け、シリア政府のせいにしようとする動きもある」と語った。

シリア攻撃をめぐり、アメリカのトランプ大統領はシリア・イドリブ県で100人以上の市民が死亡したのはアサド政権が化学兵器を使ったためだと断定。6日、シリア中部にあるアサド政権軍の空軍基地を巡航ミサイル・トマホークで攻撃させた。
