フィギュア小塚、羽生らの活躍祝福 “因縁”高橋大輔もねぎらう
フィギュアスケートの小塚崇彦が、17日付の自身のブログで、ソチ五輪に出場した男子フィギュアの羽生結弦（1位）、町田樹（5位）、高橋大輔（6位）の活躍を祝福するとともに、五輪代表の座を巡って、“因縁”にもなった高橋を真摯にねぎらった。
小塚は「みんなお疲れ様！！ そして、結弦、優勝おめでとう！すげぇな～ほんと。誇りに思うよ」と羽生の金メダルを祝福し、「樹も大ちゃんも諦めず、最後まで頑張ってくれてありがとう！ 樹、逆チョコもらったで～！！ウマかった」と初出場の町田の活躍も喜んだ。
さらに、昨年12月の全日本選手権で3位となりながらも、5位の高橋に代表の座が与えられ、さまざまな議論にもなっていたが、小塚は「はいっ大ちゃん！！お疲れ様でした」と高橋を全面的にねぎらい、「ホントにいい顔した大ちゃんが見られて、僕は清々しいし嬉しかったです。ほんとお疲れ様でした。カッコ良かった！！そして、ありがとっ！！」と賛辞と感謝を綴った。
