J1のFC東京は5月14日、バルセロナ（スペイン）の下部組織に所属し「日本のメッシ」とも呼ばれた13歳のMF久保建英（たけふさ）がジュニアユースチーム、U15むさしに入団したと発表した。時事ドットコムなどが報じた。
久保は２０１１年からバルセロナの下部でプレーしていた。しかし、１８歳未満の国際間移籍を禁じる国際サッカー連盟（ＦＩＦＡ）のルールにバルセロナが抵触し、試合に出られない状況が続いたために退団。４月からＵ１５むさしの練習に参加していた。大金社長は期待を込めて「五輪代表、日本代表を背負って立つ選手になってほしい」と話した。
