【パリ銃撃】「3人目の容疑者」にされた18歳少年の苦悩

政治週刊紙「シャルリー・エブド」銃撃事件に世界がくぎ付けになった1月9日、18歳の少年ムラド・ハミドさんは、思いがけず「3人目の容疑者」として世界中に名前を知られてしまった。

1月7日にフランスで起こった政治週刊紙「シャルリー・エブド」銃撃事件では、12人が殺害された。この衝撃的な事件に世界がくぎ付けになった日、18歳の少年ムラド・ハミドさんは、思いがけず「3人目の容疑者」として世界中に名前を知られてしまった。

ハミドさんは、殺害された容疑者の1人、シェリフ・クアシの義理の弟にあたるが、事件発生当時は、学校の教室で授業を受けていたという。

ムラドさんは、ニュースやソーシャルメディアで自分の名前が出回っていることを知り、7日夜のうちに自ら警察に出向いた。教師や生徒らが、ムラドさんが学校で授業を受けていたと証言。警察当局は9日夜、「事件の証人が当初、容疑者は2〜3人と言ったため(ムラドさんを)テロリストの1人として発表してしまった」と釈明し、ムラドさんを釈放した。

ハミドさんの動揺は大きく、AFPの取材に対し「事件に衝撃を受け、完全に途方に暮れました」と語った。

医学部志望のハミドさんは、「私は両親とともに静かに暮らす、普通の高校生です。ソーシャルメディアに、私に関する恐ろしいことや過ちが書き込まれていることにショックを受けています」と述べ「これで私の将来に傷がつかないことを願います。私は事件とは何の関係もありません」などと訴えた。

容疑者の義兄シェリフ・クアシとは疎遠だったという。
