タイ国家汚職追放委員会は8日、首相を前日失職したインラック氏について、コメ担保融資制度に絡む職務怠慢で、上院に弾劾請求することを決めた。

[バンコク 8日 ロイター] - タイ国家汚職追放委員会は8日、首相を前日失職したインラック氏について、コメ担保融資制度に絡む職務怠慢で、上院に弾劾請求することを決めた。

国家汚職追放委員会の委員長は「調査の結果、十分な証拠があると判断した。同件を上院に送付する」と述べた。上院の結論次第では、インラック氏は今後5年にわたり、政治活動が禁じられる可能性がある。

憲法裁判所は前日、2011年の政府高官人事に介入したとしてインラック氏に違憲の判決を下し、インラック氏は首相の座を追われた。

コメ担保融資制度とは農家支援のためインラック氏が導入した政策。政府が市場価格を大幅に上回る水準でコメを買い取るものだが、買い取ったコメの多くは売れ残り、農家への支払いが滞る事態となった。

国家汚職追放委員会の委員は記者団に対して「制度は巨額の損失を生じさせた。制度のあらゆる部分に欠陥やリスクがあった」と述べた。

国家汚職追放委員会の発表を受けて、インラック氏の支持者らは、首都バンコクに集結し始めている。バンコクでは向こう数日中に、政権支持派と反政府派の双方が、大規模なデモ活動の実施を計画している。
