政治混乱が続くタイの憲法裁判所は5月7日、2011年の国家安全保障会議の事務局長人事をめぐり、インラック首相が職権を乱用したと認め、違憲と判断した。インラック首相は即時に失職し、人事に直接関与した一部閣僚も同時に職を失った。NHKニュースなどが伝えた。
この訴えは、3年前に行われた政府高官の人事について「インラック首相がみずからの利益のために行ったもので憲法に違反する」として、インラック首相に反発する上院議員28人が起こしていたものです。憲法裁判所は7日、この主張を認め、憲法に違反するという判決を出しました。
そのうえで憲法裁判所は、「インラック首相の首相としての立場は終わった」と述べ、インラック首相は憲法の規定に従い失職しました。

インラック氏は、2006年に軍事クーデターにより失脚したタクシン元首相の妹。インラック氏の後任には、7人いる副首相の中から違憲判決に連座しなかった副首相が就き、タクシン元首相派の政権は存続する見通し。
インラック首相を支持するグループは判決に強く反発して近く大規模な抗議行動を計画している。一方、反政府デモ隊はタクシン派政権の打倒を掲げ、バンコクで抗議集会を続ける活動を一段と強めるのは確実な情勢で、タイの政局は混迷の度を増している。
