タイ陸軍のプラユット陸軍司令官は5月26日、軍がクーデターに伴い設立した「国家平和秩序評議会(NCPO)」の議長に就任することについてプミポン国王から承認を得たと表明した。

タイ陸軍のプラユット陸軍司令官は5月26日、軍がクーデターに伴い設立した「国家平和秩序評議会(NCPO)」の議長に就任することについて、プミポン国王から承認を得たと表明した。NHKニュースなどが報じた。

タイでクーデターを宣言したプラユット陸軍司令官が日本時間の午後1時すぎから記者会見を行い、全権を掌握した「国家平和秩序評議会」の議長に正式に就任したことを明らかにしました。

これに先立って、プラユット司令官は国民から絶大な信頼を集めるプミポン国王から議長就任について承認を受け、これにより軍が主導する評議会が国の実権を掌握することが正式に認められました。プラユット司令官は、今後の行政機構の体制など詳細を説明し、国民に理解を求めるものとみられます。

タイのプミポン国王

王室の後ろ盾を得た軍が今後、クーデターに対する抗議行動への締めつけを強めることが予想されている。

プラユット氏は26日演説し、今後の政権運営について「第1段階は軍によって監督される」と述べ、軍が政権運営を進める方針を示した。

プラユット氏は自身が首相に就任するかどうか明言しなかった。また、総選挙の実施時期についても「状況次第だ」と述べ、具体的な時期には触れなかった。

国家平和秩序評議会はクーデターに伴い、憲法を停止し、上院を解散して立法府を消滅させ、メディア統制を敷いている。軍の命令に背いた場合は軍事裁判所で裁かれる。

プラユット氏は記者会見し、政治や政治や社会を改革するための組織と、暫定的な立法機関を創設する方針を表明した。司令官は各省の次官に大臣の職務を代行するよう命じたことも明らかにした

バンコクでは、クーデター後に休校していた日本人学校が26日授業を再開したが、現地の日本大使館は引き続き不要不急の外出は控えるよう呼びかけている
