【香港デモ】道路占拠が事実上終結 強制排除で209人逮捕(画像集)

香港警察は12月11日午後、民主派デモで最大の拠点になっていた香港島・金鐘(アドミラルティー)の幹線道路でデモ隊の強制排除を行った。60人を超える参加者が逮捕されたという報道もある。1997年の香港返還以後、最大規模の民主化運動となり「雨傘革命」と呼ばれた道路占拠運動は75日間で事実上終わった。

47NEWSは、この強制排除で209人の参加者が逮捕されたと報じた。1997年の香港返還以後、最大規模の民主化運動で「雨傘革命」と呼ばれた道路占拠は75日間で事実上終わった

■骨抜きになった「普通選挙」が引き金に

香港の行政トップである行政長官の選挙は、2017年から1人1票による「普通選挙」が導入される。しかし、8月末に中国政府が決定した選挙制度では、立候補者を指名委員会が選定する仕組みになったことから、民主派は「普通選挙とは言えない」と反発。9月末には10万人を超える参加者によるデモが発生、香港の中心街の道路をデモ隊が占拠していた。

道路の占拠は長期化し、10月21日にはデモを主導する学生団体の代表と、香港政府が初の対話をしたものの議論は平行線で膠着状態になった

■大規模な衝突なく、無抵抗で座り込み

朝日新聞デジタルによると、12月11日の強制執行は2段階になっていたようだ。まず午前中に、占拠禁止を命じた裁判所の決定に基づき、金鐘の大通りの一部区間で執行官や道路開通を申し立てたバス会社の関係者らがバリケードなどを撤去した。そして午後からは、香港警察が7000人態勢で、裁判所の命令が出ていない区間についても強制排除に乗り出したという。

ただし、デモ隊との大規模な衝突はなかった模様だ。警察は大通りからデモ隊を排除し、テントや垂れ幕などを撤去。約200人のデモ隊が現場から離れるよう促す警告を聞かずに無抵抗で座り込みを続けたため、警察に連行された。

時事ドットコムによると、逮捕者には民主党の劉慧卿(エミリー・ラウ)主席ら民主派の立法会(議会)議員数人や民主派長老の李柱銘(マーティン・リー)元民主党主席、学生団体の大学生連合会(学連)幹部が含まれているという。

今回の強制執行があった現場から約2.5キロ離れた繁華街「銅鑼湾(コーズウェイベイ)」の幹線道路には少人数のデモ隊が残っているが、警察はこちらでも近日中に強制排除を行い、香港中心街の交通を正常化する方針だ。
