アメリカのサンフランシスコ連邦高裁は2月9日、ドナルド・トランプ大統領が出した7カ国の人の入国を一時的に禁止する大統領令を差し止めた地裁命令を支持すると判断した。7カ国からの入国は当面継続される。

トランプ大統領は1月27日イスラム主流国7カ国（イラン、イラク、リビア、ソマリア、スーダン、シリア、イエメン）の人々の入国を90日間禁じ、難民の受け入れを120日間一時的に停止する入国禁止措置の大統領令に署名した。

これに対し、ワシントン州にある連邦地方裁判所のジェームズ・ロバート判事が3日、「社会や経済に取り返しのつかない損害が生じる」として大統領令の一時差し止めを命じた。

トランプ政権側の司法省は連邦高裁に不服を申し立て、7日の電話による口頭弁論で「大統領が安全保障面で下した判断を覆した」として地裁命令を取り消すよう求めていた。一方ワシントン州側は、地裁の決定を取り消したら「国に大きな混乱を再びもたらす」と反論していた。

トランプ大統領は連邦高裁の判断を受けて、次のようにツイートした。
