チュニジアの首都チュニスで3月18日、武装グループが国会議事堂に隣接する国立バルドー博物館を襲撃、日本政府は日本人観光客3人が死亡し、3人がけがをしたとしている。

バルドー博物館は、市内中心部から西約5キロにあり、チュニジア各地の古代ローマ期の遺跡から収集されたモザイク装飾が展示されている。「チュニジアのルーブル博物館」とも呼ばれる外国人にも人気の観光名所だ。オスマン帝国時代の宮殿が建物に利用されていることでも知られる。
