6月7日に総選挙が行われるトルコの南東部ディヤルバクルで5日、クルド系野党の人民民主主義党（HDP）の選挙集会で2度爆発が発生し、2人が死亡、100人以上がけがをした。ロイターなどが報じた。
朝日新聞デジタルによると、爆発はデミルタシュ党首の演説が始まる直前に発生した。HDPの関係者は、テロの可能性があるとし、当局に捜査の徹底を求めた。
NHKニュースによると、今回の総選挙でエルドアン大統領率いる与党の公正発展党（AKP）は大統領の権限を強化させる憲法改正を目指しているのに対し、HDPがエルドアン大統領の強権的な政治手法を批判し、支持を拡大させていた。
