クーデター未遂事件後、非常事態が宣言されたトルコで、報道機関への締め付けが強まっている。

トルコ、報道機関131社に閉鎖命令 影潜める政権批判

クーデター未遂事件後、非常事態が宣言されたトルコで、報道機関への締め付けが強まっている。エルドアン大統領が事実上の指導者を務める与党・公正発展党(AKP)政権は27日、新聞やテレビなど計131社に政令で閉鎖を命じた。メディア側には自粛ムードが漂い、政権批判は影を潜めている。

政令は非常事態宣言に基づき、法律と同等の効力を持つ。閉鎖を命じた報道機関について、政権は事件の「首謀者」と主張する米国亡命中のイスラム教指導者ギュレン師や、その信奉者らの団体と「関係がある」としている。

多くは地方の小規模な報道機関だが、リベラル系日刊紙タラフや、今年3月に政府管理下に置かれた日刊紙ザマンなど、全国的に有名な報道機関も数社含まれる。内訳は新聞45社、通信3社、テレビ16局、ラジオ23局、出版29社、雑誌15社。
