「私の服装にかまうな」 トルコの女性たち、伝統衣装の着用要求に抗議デモ

トルコのイスタンブールで女性たちが、より伝統的な衣装の着用を求める男性たちの暴力や要求に反対するデモ行進をした。

イスラム教徒が国民の大半を占めるトルコの最大都市イスタンブールなど各地で7月29、30日、宗教上の理由から伝統的な衣装の着用を求める男性たちの要求や暴力に抗議する女性たちのデモがあった。ロイター通信などが報じた。トルコが憲法で定める政教分離や女性の権利をめぐる議論にも発展している。

ロイターによると、デモは「私の服装にかまうな」と名付けられた。イスタンブールでは、タンクトップやショートパンツ姿の女性たちが、一部男性が「あるまじき服」と呼ぶデニムのショートパンツが吊るされたハンガーを手に行進。「私たちは従わない、黙らない、恐れない。私たちは抵抗を通じて勝つ」とシュプレヒコールを繰り返した。

デモ行進には、6月末にイスタンブール当局に行進を禁止されたゲイ・コミュニティーとトランスジェンダーの人々も参加。参加者たちは、LGBTのレインボー旗やプラカードを手に行進した。

NHKニュースによると、29日のデモの直後にショートパンツをはいた女性が公園に入るのを警備員から認められなかったことがインターネット上で広がり、30日にも急きょ新たなデモが呼びかけられた。

トルコでは、服装に対する女性への口頭による攻撃や暴力が増えている。共和国の建国以来、政教分離を掲げ、イスラム教徒でも女性がスカーフをかぶらなかったり酒を飲んだりするなど、世俗的な国として知られてきた。ただ、15年近く続くエルドアン政権のもと保守的な空気が広がり、女性が肌の露出が多いことを理由になじられたり暴力を受けたりするケースが多発しているという。

NHKニュースによると、トルコが憲法で定める政教分離や女性の権利をめぐる議論にも発展しているという。
