［５日 ロイター］ - 卓球の世界選手権団体戦は５日、東京の国立代々木競技場で試合を行い、女子決勝で日本は中国に０―３で敗戦。４３年ぶりの優勝を逃した。
日本は第１試合で石垣優香、第２試合で石川佳純、第３試合で平野早矢香が敗れた。中国は２連覇を達成した。
男子決勝では中国がドイツを３─１で退け、７連覇を果たした。
