東日本大震災から3月11日で6年を迎える。震災をテーマに東京・銀座のソニービルの壁面にヤフーが掲げた巨大な広告が話題になっている。
気象庁は、東日本大震災で最も高かった津波は岩手県大船渡市に到来したもので、高さは16.7メートルだったと推定している。ビルの高さで4～5階に相当するという。
広告を掲示しているヤフーは、「この高さを知っているだけで、とれる行動は変わる。あの日を忘れない。それが、一番の防災」とのメッセージを掲げ、16.7メートルの部分を赤い線で示している。
銀座・数寄屋橋交差点のソニービルは、3月末で閉館する予定となっている。広告は12日まで。
