シリア政府軍によって制圧されたアレッポに住む市民たちが、現地から悲痛なメッセージをTwitterに投稿している。「最後のメッセージ」という言葉が繰り返され、シリア政府軍に包囲された町で市民たちが直面している恐怖が表れている。

ロシアのヴィタリー・チュルキン国連大使は12月13日、国連安全保障理事会の緊急会合で、シリア政府軍がアレッポ東部を完全に制圧したという認識を示した。

シリア政府軍と反体制派の戦闘が終幕に近づく中、包囲された町に残されたアレッポ市民たちは、見るものの心を揺さぶる衝撃的な「最後のメッセージ」を送った。

赤十字国際委員会 (ICRC)は12日、アレッポに住む一般市民を保護し、命を助けるために最善を尽くすと声明を出した。紛争に巻き込まれた人々が「文字どおり、どこにも逃げ場がない」状況に陥っていると述べ、戦争法や国際人道法が定める基本的なルールが遵守されない限り、人権損害の悪化とさらなる人命の損失は免れないとしている。

国連は、アレッポでは「人権が完全にメルトダウンした」と非難した。親アサド派の兵士らが民家に侵入し、女性や子供を含む数十人の市民を殺害したと報じられている。

AP通信は、シリアのバッシャール・アサド大統領にとって、アレッポ奪還はこれまでの内戦を通して最大の勝利となるだろうと報じた。
