ビールジョッキで、ロゴが取っ手の正反対の位置に描かれている理由とは?

突然ですが…

居酒屋などで使われるビールジョッキ(ビアジョッキ)で、ロゴが取っ手の正反対の位置に描かれているものを見たことある?

マグカップなどでは、取っ手から90度の位置にロゴがプリントされているものが多いよね。でも、なぜかビールジョッキは取っ手の正反対の位置にあるものがあったりする…

なぜだ?

アサヒビールに電話すると、広報担当者は2つの考え方があると教えてくれた。

1.乾杯のときに目立つため。

「乾杯の際に、ロゴを目にしていただくことで、ブランド訴求につながります」と担当者。

うん、うん、目立ってるよ。

2.大好きだから。

「大切なロゴに、口をつけるのがはばかられるとの考えかたがありました」。

担当者によると、アサヒビールの業務用のビールジョッキは、全て取っ手から180度の位置にロゴを印刷するようにしているんだって。

一方で、同社のハイボール用ジョッキのロゴは、90度の位置に描かれている。
