ベルギーの首都ブリュッセルで起きた連続自爆テロの容疑者が3月23日、同市内で逮捕されたと地元メディアが報じたが、「逮捕されたのは別人だった」とまもなく記事を訂正した。イギリスのインディペンデント紙は「容疑者が逮捕されたのかどうかをめぐって情報が錯綜している」と報じた。
逮捕されたと報道されたのはナジム・ラシュラウィ容疑者。ベルギーの空港と地下鉄で起きた連続自爆テロの後、逃走していた。
ラシュラウィ容疑者は2015年11月にパリで起こった同時多発テロの実行犯サラ・アブデスラム容疑者と知り合いで、同時多発テロで使われた爆弾をつくる手助けをした可能性があると伝えられている。サラ・アブデスラム容疑者は3月18日にブリュッセルで逮捕された。
22日のブリュッセル連続自爆テロで自殺したのは、ハリド・バクラウィ、ブラヒム・バクラウィ兄弟だとみられている。テロでは34人が亡くなり200人近くが負傷した。
