ブリュッセルでは21日以降、アブデスラム容疑者が潜伏している可能性が排除できないことなどから、テロ警戒レベルが4段階の最高度である「レベル4」に引き上げられており、地下鉄やショッピングセンターの営業を中止していた。
ベルギー内務省の危機管理センターは、今回の作戦後も警戒レベルは継続するとしており、保育園や学校などを閉鎖するとしている。
