韓国・朴槿恵大統領の「陰の実力者」崔順実氏を緊急逮捕 「国民の皆さん、許して下さい」

朴槿恵大統領から国政や外交に関する文書を渡され、人事などに介入したとして問題になっている朴氏の知人女性・崔順実(チェ・スンシル)氏が10月31日午後3時、ソウル中央地検に出頭した。

地検は10月31日深夜、崔順実氏を緊急逮捕した。崔氏の出頭前に大規模な証拠隠滅を図った形跡があり、本人が心身共に不安定なことから踏み切ったとみられる。韓国の刑事訴訟法の規定に伴い、48時間以内に正式な拘束令状を請求する方針という。

出頭時、黒い帽子を目深にかぶった崔氏は、手を口でおさえ、詰めかけた大勢の報道陣らにもみくちゃにされながら地検庁舎に入った。ハフポスト韓国版によると、エレベーターの前で「国民の皆さん、許して下さい。申し訳ありません。死に値する罪を犯しました」と述べたという。

検察当局は、崔氏の知人が多数理事に就任していた文化財団「ミル」と「Kスポーツ財団」の設立経緯や、両財団が企業などから800億ウォン(約73億円)の多額の寄付を受けた背景について調べている。崔氏が財団を私物化していた可能性や、崔氏の個人企業を通じて、両財団の資金を流用したのではないかとみて調べている

野党「共に民主党」は、崔氏が朴大統領から演説文や外交関連文書などを事前に受け取っていたことが、大統領記録物管理法違反や刑法の公務員秘密漏洩罪、財団の寄付を巡る疑惑は特定経済犯罪加重処罰法や犯罪収益隠匿規制・処罰法に違反するとして、31日に告発状を検察に提出した

崔氏は、大統領を陰で操る実力者としてメディアを賑わせて以降、ドイツに逃亡していたが、30日早朝に韓国に帰国していた

韓国紙「世界日報」は10月27日付で、ドイツ滞在中の崔氏のインタビューとする記事を掲載。「大きな問題だと思わなかった。国家機密だとも思わなかった」「記憶があいまいだ」と、朴氏に介入したとの疑惑を否定していた

大統領を陰で操る実力者と言われた崔氏が検察の捜査に応じたことで、朴大統領は一段と厳しい立場に追い込まれた。捜査で実態がどこまで明らかになるのかが当面の焦点となる。

大統領は、青瓦台(大統領府)の10人いる首席秘書官や、側近と呼ばれた秘書官を更迭して、人心一新をはかることで危機を打開し、残り1年4カ月の任期を乗り切る構えだが、与野党からは、大統領が任命した現首相の交代を求める声も出ている。

大統領支持率が10%台に落ち込む中、29日夜のソウルの集会には約3万人(主催者発表)が参加して「朴槿恵退陣」を叫んだ。国民の怒りは沸騰しており、朴大統領が世論に抗して乗り切れるのかは不透明だ。
