安倍首相、消費増税を再び先送りへ 延期期間は?

安倍晋三首相は来年4月に予定する消費税率10%への引き上げを再び延期する方針を固めた。

首相、消費増税再延期へ 経済減速・熊本地震踏まえ判断

安倍晋三首相は来年4月に予定する消費税率10%への引き上げを再び延期する方針を固めた。世界経済の減速に加え熊本地震も重なり、この状況で増税を実施すれば政権が掲げるデフレからの脱却がさらに遠のくと判断した。主要7カ国(G7)首脳会議(伊勢志摩サミット)と関連会合後、政府・与党内で調整に入り、合意が得られれば国会会期末の6月1日にも正式に表明する方向だ。

首相は2014年11月にも景気の悪化などを理由に15年10月の消費増税を1年半延期しており、今回で2回目となる。延期期間は19年中までの2年程度を軸とする案で調整している。

前回延期した際、首相は増税の是非について信を問うため衆院を解散した。今回は直後に6月22日公示、7月10日投開票の日程で最終調整中の参院選が控えていることから、あえて衆参同日選とはせず、参院選で民意を問う考えだ。
