安倍晋三首相は１９日午前の参議院予算委員会で、ロシアがクリミア自治共和国の独立を承認し、ロシアに編入する条約に署名したことについて、「ウクライナの主権および領土の一体性を侵害するものであり、これを非難する」と語った。
さらに、引き続きＧ７を含む各国と連携しながら、ロシアへのさらなる措置を検討していく考えであることを明らかにした。
高階恵美子委員（自民）の質問に答えた。
安倍首相はロシアのクリミア編入について「力を背景とする現状変更の試みを決して看過しない」と指摘。日本として１８日に査証簡素化の協議を停止し、新投資協定、宇宙協定、危険な軍事活動の防止に関する協定の３件について締結交渉開始を凍結することとしたが、「引き続きＧ７を含む各国と連携しながら、ロシアへのさらなる措置を検討していく考えだ」と明言した。
さらに来週、Ｇ７首脳が集まるハーグでの核セキュリティサミットの際に、ウクライナ情勢に関するＧ７非公式首脳会合を米国が提案していることに言及し、「諸般の事情が許せば私も出席し、Ｇ７を含む各国と連携し、適切に対応していきたい。引き続き、各国とよく連携しながら平和解決を求めていく」との考えを示した。
