今年の10月に現役引退を発表したフィギュアスケートの高橋大輔さんが出身地・岡山県のPR動画「もんげー岡山!」に登場した。

10月に現役引退を発表したフィギュアスケートの高橋大輔さんが出身地・岡山県のPR動画「もんげー岡山!」に登場した。「もんげー」は「ものすごい」という意味の岡山弁。

動画では、気の弱い子供だった高橋大輔さんが、8歳の時にスケートリンクに出会ったことで人生が変わったという経験から、次世代の子供たちに向けてメッセージを送っている。この記事では、そのメッセージを書き起こしで紹介する。

高橋大輔から君へ

僕は岡山で生まれた。

大人しくて気の弱い子供だった。

8歳のとき、このスケートリンクに出会った。

なぜかスケートには夢中になった。

飛ぶのが好きになった。

踊るのも好きになった。

成績が上がって表彰台に立つことも多くなった。

気がつけば世界で戦うようになっていた。

でも、全部うまくいったわけじゃない。

迷いもあった。

怪我もあった。

手術もした。

全然飛べない日もあった。

もうダメだと思ったことも何度もあった。

これから新しい一歩を踏み出す子供たちもいつか壁にぶち当たると思う。

けど、自分の力を信じてほしい。

倒れたって立ち上がればいい。

さ、いくよ。

僕は岡山で生まれた。

そして、このスケートリンクに出会った。

もんげー岡山!
