シリア政府軍による「残虐行為」が報じられたアレッポ市民へ祈りを示した。

12月14日夜に、フランスのパリの名物、エッフェル塔が消灯された。シリア政府軍の「残虐行為」が報じられた都市アレッポの市民に向けて、支援するメッセージを送るためだ。

パリではアサド政権や支援国のロシアに抗議するデモが実施されており、パリのアンヌ・イダルゴ市長は「この演出は、国際社会に対してアレッポを救うために緊急行動を起こすよう促すことを目的にしています」と語った

以下は、現地時間14日午後8時の消灯シーンの映像と写真だ。ライトアップされたエッフェル塔の光が、徐々に遮断されていく。

アレッポ市民を救ってほしいという声はパリに限らず世界各地に広がり、アメリカ・ニューヨークやイギリス・ロンドンでもデモが実施された。

反体制派が支配していたアレッポ東部は12月13日、シリア政府軍によって制圧された。国連は、現地ではシリア政府軍によるアレッポ市民への「残虐行為」が実行されており、少なくとも民間人82人が殺害された証拠があると発表している。

制圧後も反体制派が支配していた地域に市民が多数閉じ込められ、その多くの人々が別れを告げるメッセージや苦しみを訴える声をSNSに投稿した

CNNによると、反体制派グループの広報担当者が「停戦合意が可決され、アレッポの住民たちの避難活動が現地時間12月15日木曜日から実施される」と話したという。
