日本スケート連盟は12月23日、フィギュアスケートのソチオリンピック代表を発表した。
女子は全日本選手権で優勝した女子の鈴木明子選手のほか、浅田真央選手、村上佳菜子選手が選ばれた。男子は羽生結弦選手に加え、町田樹選手、高橋大輔選手の3選手が選出された。
男子五輪代表については、全日本選手権3位の小塚崇彦選手と、高橋大輔選手による3枠目争いに注目が集まっていたが、高橋大輔選手が選ばれた。
