フランス議会で、ジャケット・ネクタイの着用義務なくなる。しかし議員らの反応は割れる

7月20日、ジャン=リュック・メランション氏率いる左派政党「服従しないフランス」が、ブルボン宮殿(フランス国民議会議事堂)の伝統を揺るがした。同議会での「(男性議員の)ジャケットとネクタイ着用の非義務化」を正式に採択させたのだ。

以来、フランス国民議会はいくぶんシュールな劇場と化している。議員の服装に関する野次合戦が相次いで起こっているのだ。

最新の標的は、フランソワ・リュファン議員(「服従しないフランス」等の支援を受けて6月の総選挙で初当選。ジャーナリストや映画監督としての経歴も持つ)だ。彼のズボンからはみ出していたシャツが、審議中の国会で注目を集めた。

下の動画でも確認できるように、リュファン議員がマイクに近づき質疑を行おうとするや否や、議場の反対側から野次が飛んできた。「おい!シャツはズボンに入れるのが普通だろう!」1人の男性議員がこう声を上げると、続いて共和党のクロード・ゴアスゲン議員が「引っ込め!」と揶揄するように叫んだ。自党の議員が批判にあっているのを見かねたメランション氏が矢面に立ち、「ここはイランではない」と、服装の規定に厳格なイランを例に出してやり返すに至った。

ネクタイの着用/非着用に関しては、以前から論争がある。「あまりにも些末なこと。他に議論すべきことが山ほどある」という意見がある一方で、「(ノーネクタイは)有権者への敬意に欠く」などの声もあり、議員の間でも反応が割れている

なお6月末にはイギリスの議会でもネクタイ着用義務が廃止され、「イギリス議会に革命」と報じられていた
