アメリカの最大の敵はどこの国か? 2月8日から11日にかけて、837人のアメリカ人を対象に行われたギャロップ社の世論調査の結果、実に18%の人がロシアの名前を挙げてトップとなった。

アメリカの最大の敵はどこの国か? 2月8日から11日にかけて、837人のアメリカ人を対象に行われたギャロップ社の世論調査の結果、実に18%の人がロシアの名前を挙げてトップとなった

この調査は例年行っているもので、ロシアを「最大の敵」とした人は2012年には2%に過ぎなかったが、3年間で9倍になった計算だ。ウクライナ内戦への介入などでアメリカ人の多くが「ロシアの脅威」を感じていることが明らかになった。

2位は金正恩氏が率いる北朝鮮。2014年にトップだった中国は20%から12%へと減って、3位となった。核開発疑惑に揺れたイランは2012年には32%でダントツのトップだったが、穏健派のロウハニ大統領が2013年に就任したことで、今回は9%まで下がった。このほか過激派「ダーイシュ」(イスラム国)がイラクやシリアの一部を制圧してテロを繰り返していることを受けて、「ダーイシュ支配地域」という項目が4%を得たという。

同盟国である日本を「最大の敵」とした人は1%だった。
